NAMI FW2012 show for LA Fashion Week

Last weekend, I once again had the pleasure of walking for NAMI for their FW2012 show during LA Fashion Week.

After 3 hours of hair and make-up, we graced the runway in Sarah Nami Ahn’s stunning and feminine clothing for the CONCEPT show at the Ace Gallery. I LOVE her clothing, and hope I get to sport some of it at upcoming events!

Sarah is such a pleasure to work with and is so amazingly talented, as is evident in the beautiful details of her designs. Topped off with curly fauw-hawks and smoky eyes, her collection was a huge success!

Watch Jamie in a national Prius C Commercial!!

Earlier this year, I shot a national commercial for Toyota’s new Prius C. The spot, titled “Dolphin Tattoo” is now airing!!

Check out me and my tan on most cable and network channels all over the US. Harvey, Mimi, and Andrew were all a blast to work with, not to mention hysterical!! Director, Mike McGuire, was also a riot.

I look forward to test-driving and purchasing a Prius of my own in the coming weeks.

Jamie joins True Blood for Season 5 as Danielle, a new werewolf!

In November 2011, I was fortunate enough to land a recurring role as Danielle, a new werewolf, on HBO’s True Blood!! I am thrilled to be part of such a successful show, and particularly excited about working for HBO and Alan Ball.

Since then, I have shot 2 episodes, Ep 501 “Turn, Turn, Turn”, Ep 502 “Authority Always Wins” and am slated to shoot a 3rd in the coming weeks – and will hopefully be back for more!

The cast & crew have been so welcoming, and playing a werewolf is right up my alley I am so grateful for this opportunity and hope it will lead to bigger and better things!

Season 5 is slated to begin airing at the end of June 2012, but until then… Grrrrrrrr

Importance of Auditions

In an industry of constant ups and downs, I find it’s SOO important to value not only every booking, but more importantly, every audition. With over 700+ auditions under my belt in the last 3 years, I have learned to take every audition as an opportunity to perform and impress.

The audition is never for the one job, it’s a chance to put yourself on the top of that casting director’s list for future projects. It can be difficult to remain determined, but every callback and repeat visit to the same CDs, tells you that you are doing a great job with everything within your power. You can’t control the interests of the product reps, ad agencies, producers, directors, etc, that ultimately make the call, but you CAN control the impression you leave, regardless of whether or not you book.

NAMI SS2012 show for LA Fashion Week

The show was staged as part of Concept Fashion Week held at the ACE Gallery on Wilshire. All of her clothing is so feminine and refined!! Can’t wait to get my hands on some of it

PROJECT: Las Vegas Runway show

On 8/22 & 8/23, 4 girls, and I from my agency, Q, were hired to walk in the PROJECT fashion shows for MAGIC week in Las Vegas!

We arrived in Vegas on Monday afternoon, got settled, then had rehearsals Monday evening. After, we all went out for dinner and some dancing at Marquee Nightclub. We were up early Tuesday morning for hair and make-up and went straight into 3 runway shows. Each show had 3 different looks and hair and makeup changes, not to mention 12+ girls in a 4×10 backstage area- it was a madhouse! After the shows, we had a few hours to kill in the casino, and it was back to LA, Tuesday night!

It was a whirlwind of a trip, but the clothes were beautiful and I had a blast getting to know the other girls
